Can not start Chartoasis Sesame, what shall I do?

In case of any problem occurs when using Chartoasis Sesame you may contact us at chartoasis@chartoasis.com .

The possible causes when Chartoasis Sesame can not start are the following:

Minimum requirements are not met

The software does not work with any Android Systems nor on iPad nor on iPhone.
Minimum configuration: PC with Windows XP or Mac OS and a browser with Java support. (If proper version of Java can not be found it will be tried to install automatically.) Internet connection is also necessary, the software can not run offline.
Recommended configuration: Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 with either Firefox or Google Chrome browser. Chartoasis Sesame worked properly on Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) both with Google Chrome and Safari.
The look of software may be different per operating systems.

Not recommended configuration:

  • Internet Explorer: Sesame worked well in tests with IE7-8-9 but you may have to carry out complicated changes in the settings of the browser in order to make it run. For further information please see the troubleshooting section.

  • Linux: it has not been tested on any version of Linux

Proper version of Java is not installed

If you visit the starting page of Chartoasis Sesame (www.chartoasis.com/sesame) and

  • your browser offers installation of Java, or
  • your browser requests for upgrading Java, or
  • you see the following text: ?In order to run Chartoasis Sesame you need Java.?

then the proper version of Java is not installed on your PC.

Proper version of Java is already installed, but the software still can not start

Several reasons can cause such problem. Please check out the “Java troubleshooting section” here.

Javascript is turned off

If you visit the starting page of Chartoasis Sesame (www.chartoasis.com/sesame) and

  • you see the following text: ?Javascript is turned off in your browser.? while you think that the site is working improperly (eg.: installation of Java does not start automatically)

then please follow the instructions of our “Javascript troubleshooting section” in order to turn on Javascript support for your browser.
