Download free market data from National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India
Chartoasis.com recommends downloading market data for Indian equities traded on NSE from nseindia.com because data is more up to date when downloading from there. The data format is recognized by
Chartoasis.com's free technical analysis software automatically.
To download market data:
- Visit http://nseindia.com/products/content/equities/equities/eq_security.htm
- Select "Security wise price volume data" (see above picture!).
- Enter the NSE Symbol of the wanted equity. If you do not know the exact name you can find the list of equities available on NSE here (See the link Equity shares).
- Select the desired time interval (see above picture!).
- Click on the "Get data" button.
- (A page like below should appear.) Right click on "Download file in .csv format" and save historical data file to your computer.
